An opportunity engine for all people across all communities.
We’re proud to be one of the industry’s largest Certified Diverse Staffing Agencies—and even prouder to run a strong Diverse Supplier Program of our own. We gladly double down on what we believe in and that includes diversity, equity and inclusion.

Robin Mee is the founder and president of Mee Derby & Company, the nation’s leading Women-founded and owned, executive search firm specializing in Staffing and Workforce Solutions. Mee Derby is a 10-time winner of the prestigious ClearlyRated Best of Staffing Client Award and widely recognized for connecting great companies with top talent in the Workforce Solutions Ecosystem.
Issues of women and leadership have always been important to Robin. In 2015, she helped form the American Staffing Association (ASA) Women in Leadership Task Force and remains on its leadership committee. This task force addressed issues surrounding gender imbalance in the staffing industry’s executive tiers. Its aim was to provide resources for women to excel as leaders in staffing and to propel a movement in the industry toward empowering workplace solutions. The task force aims to help steer the Women in Leadership Interest Group, which today has hundreds of members.
In 2020, Mee Derby became one of the inaugural sponsors of ASA’s Women in Leadership Interest Group, followed by sponsorship of 2019 Staffing World pre-conference workshops. In May 2020, Women in Leadership launches the first virtual events on the topic of Advancing Women in Staffing.
Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) has recognized Robin five times since the inception of its Global Women Power 150 award in 2015. The Global Power 150 list is not a ranking, but a way to shine a spotlight on women in leadership positions and to recognize the significant contributions and influence of women industry-wide.
Members of the Mee Derby team engage women leaders in more personal ways as well. Our director, Kim Whiteley, is an active ASA volunteer via the ASA Mentoring Program. Kim is mentoring a women leader’s transition into the role of the owner for her Workforce Management business in Akron, OH. Robin is a member of a recently created Lady Leaders Book Club, whose first meeting featured Joyce Russell, president of Adecco Group US Foundation, and her 2020 book “Put a Cherry on Top”.
As an executive search firm, Mee Derby has a unique opportunity to connect, influence, support, and empower all people, but particularly women of the staffing industry. This important and rewarding work is good for the entire staffing industry.
