Marissa Valladares
Lead Finance Specialist
My typical day starts out with early meetings (we Finance people like to meet early) to discuss what we have on our docket to complete for the week. Throughout the day, I’m working through different tasks, including assisting teams with the best way to look at data.
Full Interview
Let’s talk about your role:
Q: What is the most rewarding facet of dealing directly with your colleagues?
A: It’s a great feeling to be able to assist someone with achieving a goal or help solve a problem. My colleagues not only advocate for our associates, but they also advocate for our staff members as well.
Q: What is Integrity’s driving force behind your team?
A: I think the driving force is the team itself. We are a small group managing major tasks behind the scenes that help drive the company’s success.
Q: What have been your most significant accomplishments on our team?
A: I created, maintained, and organized a VMS process within the last few years that I took a lot of pride in. Following that, I’ve learned Power BI data modeling and am excited to see what else I can contribute to the success of the company.
Q: Who are some of your biggest inspirations within the company?
A: My manager, Kim West, has taken me under her wing and has taught me so much from back when I first joined the Finance Team. Kim has so much knowledge that I look forward to learning more of, but I also appreciate how much she reminds me to have a good work-life balance.
Q: What’s the most unique part about working here?
A: That the name of our company actually means what it says. It could be just from experiences I’ve had, but past employers have never treated me with such appreciation, kindness, and gratitude, and I believe that goes without saying for the rest of the company as well.
Company Culture and Core Values:
Q: What has your experience been with our company culture?
A: Everyone is very supportive. If a life event happens that you’re not in control of, my team members and colleagues have always been understanding and are willing to be a backup for you.
Q: What is your favorite Integrity Core Value, and why?
A: “To Innovate is to Simplify.” I’m always looking for ways to make a project or everyday task easier. Saving time and working smarter, not harder.
Q: What parts of our mission/vision do you connect with?
A: I connect with our mission, and although it relates to our associates, I feel like I have exceeded my expectations and have advanced my career. Knowing that I can do it means that this company can do that for our associates as well.
Q: Which attributes do you feel set Integrity apart from other staffing agencies?
A: Advocating for our associates. The way we support our associates with Project Home is not something I’ve ever heard of, and I think is great!

Personal Journey
Q: Before working at Integrity Staffing, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
A: I’d say the most interesting job I’ve had was working for a Vehicle Repossession company. I felt like I was in the FBI investigating and finding people.
Q: How did you first learn about Integrity Staffing?
A: In 2017, I had just moved home from living in California, unemployed, and I found the job posting for Media Coordinator on Indeed.
Q: How do you balance your career at Integrity Staffing and your family?
A: COVID was a blessing in disguise because it allowed us to transition to remote work. Since then, I’ve gotten to be around my family more and be there for my sister and her newborns.
Q: How has Integrity helped you in your career development and how have you grown professionally while on our team?
A: I started in the Media department with Integrity in 2017; when they downsized that department, and my manager retired, Integrity found a spot for me on the finance team. From there, I was able to work my way up from Accounts Payable Coordinator to Lead Finance Specialist in just a few years. I learn something new every day with this company and am always looking to advance myself.
Q: What advice do you have for prospective Integrity candidates?
A: Have a willingness to learn because there are people out there that will teach you. I’ve always been a person to ask questions to make sure I can better understand when I’m learning something new.
What do you like most about Integrity?
The comfortability that I have with my colleagues and team. Everyone brings something different to the table, and every part of it is appreciated.
