National Staffing Employee Week, held this year from Sept. 9-15, was created by the American Staffing Association. The ASA says the event is designed for employers to show their “greatest asset”—their temporary and contract workers—how much they appreciate them. For some temporary associates, recognition for their hard work could be hard to come by, as many organizations have designed performance management and employee recognition programs tailored to full-time, permanent workers. National Staffing Employee Week, however, embraces the reality that millions of non-traditional workers are driving success every day at American organizations, and everyone should be celebrating staffing associates!
